Blind flange
The blind flange (Type 05 according to EN 1092-1) is a closed, disc-shaped flange without a centre bore. It is used to close pipe ends and openings on pressure vessels and valves. The blind flange is bolted to a matching mating flange through the bolt holes; a flange gasket positioned between the sealing faces seals the connection. Because the closure remains removable, it can be dismantled again for maintenance, inspection, pressure testing or a future extension. Type 05 is therefore suitable for piping and plant construction projects that require a durable, operationally reliable and accessible closure.
